We stayed on top of safety, registering a record of 5 million and 10 million safe man-hours this year for our main Precast Plant and Taytay 2 expansion plants, respectively.
To manage the economic repercussions of a prolonged pandemic, the Company initiated a Group-wide right-sizing exercise that aimed to optimize resources and ensure the operational viability of the business. This included the redeployment of available manpower to live construction projects to accelerate development and maximize man-hours.
In response to the crisis, the Company activated its Business Continuity Plan through close collaboration with senior management, the Human Resources Department (HRD), and the Legal Team.
Under support mechanisms, affected employees were given one month salary (net of tax) per year of service and allowed full use of their HMO benefits until the end of 2020. In addition, coping measures covered three levels of assistance: career transitioning sessions, work placement assistance, and a TESDA livelihood program.
